Emmerich am Rhein, August 2020: Early in August ten young school leavers started their professional career at PROBAT in Emmerich. A new member started her combined study in international business (B.A.). In addition the company offers this year for the first time ever the training as IT specialist for application development and IT specialist for system integration.

The PROBAT trainers and further company representatives welcome the new apprentices.

The PROBAT-Werke trainers welcomed the ten new apprentices together with further company representatives in the in-house shop roaster showroom. The words of welcome by Tina von Gimborn-Abbing, director of the museum of coffee technology located at the headquarters in Emmerich, were followed by a short round of introductions with the present trainers and representatives of the works council. The official part of the first working day was completed with a briefing about the further organizational procedures during the training period and the subsequent group photo in front of the PROBAT Research & Deveopment Center.

The application of “Big Data“ and the “Internet of Things“ in its numerous versions has become the new normality especially for producing companies. They reconsider the future significance of customer service and how it can be rendered more effectively in a scalable and cost-efficient manner by the use of Big Data. PROBAT develops customer solutions via which the capacity and quality of coffee processing procedures can be optimized based on targeted data analysis with simultaneous energy saving. This requires specially trained IT specialists, now for the first time trained by the company itself. With the training as IT specialist for application development and IT specialist for system integration, PROBAT covers its own requirement for software developers and software users who already at an early stage get familiar with the special challenges of the coffee industry.

Potential applicants can gather information on the different training professions in the company on the PROBAT website. Apart from the currently advertised apprenticeship positions also further worldwide job offers are published there.
