PROBAT welcomes nine new trainees

Emmerich am Rhein, August 2022: On August 1, nine young school leavers started their professional careers at PROBAT in Emmerich. Over the next three years, they will undergo their training there as industrial clerks, industrial mechanics, electronics technicians for industrial engineering, IT specialists for system integration, and IT specialists for application development.

The official welcoming of the new trainees at PROBAT has become a tradition by now–this year for the first time in the new meeting rooms at the museum gallery of the mechanical engineering company from the Lower Rhine. After a short round of introductions with the responsible trainers of the company and a representative of the works council, PROBAT CEO Wim Abbing addressed the trainees with impressive words: "I can still remember very well the excitement I felt on my first day at work. You will certainly feel the same today. And indeed, an exciting phase of your life lies ahead of you, because training is also always a time of searching and finding. We will accompany you on this path with the aim of retaining you and taking you on in the long term as part of the–now very large–team at the Emmerich site."

Furthermore, Wim Abbing emphasized the importance of change and transformation in PROBAT's corporate culture and the role of trainees in this: "PROBAT has been around for more than 150 years, but we don't act today like we did then. Nor do we act as we did 100 or 50 years ago. Changes take place in much shorter cycles at our company, and that's what makes working at PROBAT so exciting. We need employees who get involved and don't let themselves be slowed down! Who also point out weak points and recognize potential for improvement. Take advantage of this important training period and think for yourself! Actively shape your working environment and help us to remain adaptable in the future.”

A briefing on the further organizational processes during the training period and the obligatory group photo then concluded the formal part of the first working day of the PROBAT newcomers.

On the PROBAT website potential applicants can inform themselves about the different vocational training opportunities of the company. In addition to the currently advertised trainee positions, other worldwide job offers are also published here:
