PROBAT honours jubilarians and prospective pensioners

Emmerich am Rhein, 18.11.2019: On 15 November, a total of seven long-standing employees and prospective pensioners were honoured in the PROBAT Museum for Coffee Technology for their decades of service to the company.

In the presence of department heads and guests, PROBAT-Werke CEO Wim Abbing and chief employee representative Gerhard Gertsen thanked the employees for their loyalty and commitment over the decades: One colleague celebrated his 25th, two colleagues celebrated their 40th anniversaries, four colleagues retired.

Wim Abbing opened the ceremony, which was also attended by guests of honour, by expressing his gratitude: "It is, above all, the people who build PROBAT. We don't just supply machines. Since we know everything there is to know about coffee, we can supply our customers with tailor-made solutions, and the necessary knowledge is in the minds of our long-standing employees. The company owes its market leadership solely to these employees, who, with their commitment and willingness to share their knowledge with future generations, have helped us achieve a position at the top of the industry. The consistent business relationships between our long-standing employees and our customers make a significant contribution to maintaining market leadership.“

Gerhard Gertsen added: "We can only be successful together, and this also includes sharing our knowledge. On behalf of the entire workforce, I would like to thank you all very much for this transfer of knowledge, and your many years of loyalty to the company.

Finally, Wim Abbing and Gerhard Gertsen wished the prospective pensioners all the best for their retirement and a successful transition into the new phase of life.
